Mr. Fermin, project manager of El Salvador, explained resultful activities of BOSAI project year in FY2007.

For making POA, Expert exlpained how to make POA, Mr. Sergio introduced basic strategy and several aspects of BOSAI project in Costa Rica, also Pepe and Edger introduced activities list which includes outcome, time period, responsible, estimation and cost sharing in Guatemala.

Opening speech by Mr. Kinoshita, chief advisor of BOSAI project for POA regional workshop. 20 people from six central american countries participate this workshop. The objective of workshop is to learn basic policy/strategy of JICA, aspects of BOSAI project, and how to make POA2008.

1st Day of 1st JCC

The first JCC begins with 45 participants from six central america countries and Mexico as observer.Agenda of JCC

Study Tour to Santa Ana

Members of project Volcan Fuego in Guatemala will visit Santa Ana and neaby communities form 27 to 29 Febrero 2007.
The objectives of study tour are to learn how to prepare volcanic eruption, how to monitor activity of Volcano, how to cooperate with community and municiparity.
Proteccion Civil of El Salvador accept and agree to introduce their activities in Santa Ana.
This is the first case of study tour in BOSAI project.

Deslizamientos

Dr. Fukuoka, Short Term Expert of deslizamientos will be despatched to Honduras and El Salvador from 2 to 15 Marzo 2008. He will conduct joint conference of El Berrinche in Tegucigapla, workshop in Namacigue, workshop in Zaragoza and San Jose Villa Nueva, workshop in Nueva Cuscatlan and Antigo Cuscatlan.

JCC

The first Joint Coordination Committee will be held at 25-26 March 2007 in Sheraton Presidente San Salvador.
